Donna Hocking Photography – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all photography sessions booked with Donna Hocking Photography (“the Photographer”). By booking a session, the client (“the Client”) agrees to the following terms:

1. Booking and Payment

  • A non-refundable session fee must be paid in full at least 5 days prior to the session date via bank transfer, unless otherwise agreed that payment will be made in cash on the day.
  • No images, including previews, will be released until payment has been received in full.
  • Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

2. Session Time and Punctuality

  • Each photography session will begin and end at the time agreed upon at booking.
  • If the Client arrives more than 15 minutes late, the session will be cancelled and considered a no show.
  • A £50 rescheduling fee will be required to book a new session.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations will not be refunded.
  • Sessions can be rescheduled as long as 48 hours notice is given.
  • No shows will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • If the Client wishes to reschedule, the new session must take place within 6 months of the original booking date.
  • After 6 months, any unused session credit or fee will be forfeited.
  • Refunds are not provided for services rendered under any circumstances.
  • The client agrees to download the images and store them safely. The Photographer will not be held responsible for any images not downloaded before the download link expires. A fee may be charged to re-upload the files.
  • Images may be deleted by the photographer after 3 months.

4. Image Selection and Delivery

  • The final image selection is made solely by Donna Hocking Photography. The Photographer carefully curates the best images from the session.
  • Final edited images will be delivered within 3 weeks of the session date.
  • The style and artistic judgment of the Photographer in editing and retouching are final. No unedited or RAW images will be provided.
  • Extensive editing such as crumbs, scratches, bruises, snot may not be able to be removed and a fee may be charged to do this.

5. Use of Images

  • The Client grants Donna Hocking Photography permission to use images from the session for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website, and portfolio use, unless the Client specifically requests otherwise in writing before the session.

6. Liability

  • While every care is taken, Donna Hocking Photography cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, or cancellation due to circumstances beyond control (e.g., illness, equipment failure, or unforeseen events).
  • In such cases, liability is limited to rescheduling the session or refunding any fees paid.

7. Agreement

By booking a session with Donna Hocking Photography, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
